Detecting leaks in a metal roof is usually fairly simple. Since the metal roof itself does not leak, we begin at the nearest penetration in the roof. By removing a few tiles we can see any wetness near the penetration and by a matter of elimination find the leak. Water will usually travel along a rafter. Often the leak in the roof is not directly above where the water has come in.

Room addition to Stone coated steel roof

We are often asked to bid room additions into existing stone coated steel roofs. This can be done very inexpensively as most of the removed tiles are reusable. We remove the tiles where needed by the remodeling contractor, set them aside and reinstall when the addition is complete. Any new material matches up very well as the colors are all mostly still available on most profiles.
